  • Which Locations Do You Recommend?
    Of course, nothing beats a beachside picnic, and Blueys and Seal Rocks hold a special place in my heart. The beauty of this coast is that there are so many breathtaking spots to choose from, each with its own unique charm. The best thing about being local is you know the good ones. 😉 The location also depends on the number of guests for the event, and once the number surpasses 15 people, it must be booked in as a small event with the local council or a small venue. This adds to the charm too! Whether you have a favourite location or need some inspiration, we’re happy to work with you to find the perfect setting. We’re always here to help suggest a hidden gem or two that could be just right for your special day.
  • What can you expect when you book with us?
    When you book with us, the process is smooth and simple. After you submit the booking form, we’ll reach out within 24 hours to confirm the details of your picnic setting and preferred date. We will also be in touch about your preferred setting syle and set-up. Once we’ve settled on the perfect location and time, we’ll request a $100 deposit to secure your reservation. This guarantees your booking, and the remaining balance will be due three days before your picnic to ensure everything is set for your special day.
  • What's included in the picnic?
    Each picnic has its own unique inclusions, which are detailed on the specific picnic page of our website. You may also add additions to customise your experience. To simplify the experience, we have created two picnic packages: a picnic hire package with a premium grazing platter and a picnic hire package only. Our picnic hire set-up package includes: Full setup and pack down, setting of your choice, plush pillows and cushions, premium blankets, an ice bucket with sparkling water, elegant glassware and flatware, high-quality cutlery, linen napkins, twinkling fairy lights, blue tooth speaker, and a bottle opener for your convenience. Our picnic hire package with a grazing platter includes: Full setup and pack down, setting of your choice, plush pillows and cushions, premium blankets, an ice bucket with sparkling water, elegant glassware and flatware, high-quality cutlery, linen napkins, twinkling fairy lights, blue tooth speaker, and a bottle opener for your convenience. and grazing platter: A selection of locally sourced seasonal fruits and vegetables, meats, artisanal cheeses and crackers. Our medium, large and extra-large grazing boxes also include assorted dips and accoutrements. Note: Palms Picnics acquires all food from a licensed third-party caterer and is not responsible for food handling.
  • What happens if it rains?
    If extreme or unpredictable weather prevents us from setting up your picnic, we will offer a full refund, excluding any pre-ordered grazing boards. However, once you’ve arrived at your picnic and are interrupted by unexpected weather, the booking will unfortunately be non-refundable.
  • Whats your Cancellation Policy?
    You may cancel your picnic without a cancellation fee up to 72 hours before your scheduled event. However, please note that any catering or additional arranged services will still incur a charge. Once the picnic has been set up (typically two hours before the scheduled start), you will be charged the total cost of the picnic, including all food and beverage provisions. We closely monitor the weather leading up to each picnic and will inform you if we cannot set up due to conditions. In this case, you will receive a full refund. Please be aware that grazing boards are prepared on the day of your picnic, and those costs are non-refundable.
  • How do we choose a picnic setting?
    Our website displays a list of settings we have carefully curated for our guests to provide as a point of reference to make the choosing process streamlined and easy. We take pride in our natural fibre products and neutral tones but can adjust our settings with a pop of colour. If you have a different vision, please let us know, and we are more than happy to try to create it. Some picnic locations will require a limited set-up due to accessibility however this will be discussed prior to booking.
  • How do I pay?
    To secure your date, a deposit is required. The remaining balance is due three days before your event. After confirming your booking, we’ll send you an email link for convenient and secured payment.
  • I have a group of over 20 people. Can you accomodate?
    Yes! We love big groups! The local council requires a booking for groups over 15 if the location is on council land, such as a park, beach, etc. This will require an event fee; however, it usually isn't priced over $75. We are also happy to accommodate venues with group bookings if you have an Airbnb or other venue in mind. Let us know the date you would like the event on and styles and we are happy to accomodate.
